Two Minors Arrested for Murder of 4-Year-Old in Svay Rieng

Svay Rieng: A shocking story out of Svay Rieng province. A four-year-old girl has allegedly been murdered by a nine-year-old and 14-year-old boy. The girl was found on Tuesday morning with a charging cable wrapped around her neck.

The little girl was found unresponsive in her home in Phumara Tal, in the Svay Chrm district of Svay Rieng on Tuesday morning. A mobile phone charging cable was wrapped around her neck. Initially, it was thought the death was an accident, but an initial police investigation has confirmed their worst suspicion – this was murder. Two young boys – aged 9 and 14 have been arrested.

They are in the custody of authorities, being too young to be formally charged with a crime. Svay Rieng police have told EAC News that they cannot provide any further details just yet, with their investigation still ongoing.
